First warm day in Central Park!

What a gorgeous day! I went to the park to enjoy it. Sadly my first sighting was a dead raccoon at the far base of the bridge over the upper lobe. After that I went up around the lake to the ramble, and found these cardinals on the way.

The male was singing and singing, and the female came over after 5 minutes or so. Continuing on I saw a live raccoon, so that cheered me up. Had an extended flyover of what looks like a red-tailed hawk to me. Had my lunch on a bench, then continued on to the duck pond, where I saw the wood duck! He was in love with a mallard female and was chasing everyone else away. :-)
