As I was walking towards Columbus Circle and thinking I was done birding for the day, I saw this summer tanager in a tree above the 65th St. transverse. :-) It looks like an adult male to me.
The pictures are not great, and I could not get closer for better shots because my camera battery ran out. These show the back of the bird, somewhat obscured.
