Kinglet! Yay!

Today Jack and I went walking in the park, mostly walking and talking, not birding really.  But on the way back home we did stop by to see if the red-headed woodpecker wanted to make an appearance.

And it did!  And its head is definitely (mostly) red!

Still not 100 percent, but looking good!

Then we saw this lovely little golden crowned kinglet flitting about!

It was a joy to see our first kinglet of the spring.
